Hamilton Southeastern improved to 2-0 on Saturday, Nov. 8 with a 54-32 victory at Ben Davis.
The Royals led 19-11 after the first quarter, then allowed the Giants only two points in the second period. That helped Southeastern hold a 31-13 advantage at halftime. The Royals outscored Ben Davis 14-8 in the third for a 45-21 lead.
Kennedy Holman led the way for HSE with 22 points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots. Kayla Stidham reached double-double status with 21 points and 10 rebounds; she also totaled four blocks. Abby Orme collected five rebounds.
The Royals play their first home game of the season this Saturday, taking on Lawrence Central.
