Rotary International is one of the largest NGOs in the world. It is an organization of service clubs with over 1.2 million volunteers, including members of Rotary and Rotaract clubs in more than 200 countries around the world.
The more-than 35,000 Rotary clubs are organized in approximately 540 districts, each led by a district governor who serves one year. One of these districts, District 6560, spans central Indiana, and on Saturday June 27, we held our annual Changeover Celebration at the historic Paramount Theater in Anderson. At this event, we celebrated the successes of the 2025-2026 Rotary year and installed our new district governor, Stephanie Moran of Anderson, together with the new district officers and leaders for 2026-2027.
The Rotary Club of Westfield was extremely well represented at this event. Lance Wonderlin was installed as district governor-elect (he will serve as governor in 2027-2028), Past District Governor Marie Howard was installed as Vice-Governor, and Laura Demeter was installed as one of the District’s 10 assistant governors. A total of six members of the club attended the event.
We are looking forward to another stellar year of service to our communities and working to Create Lasting Impact, which is our theme for 2026-2027.
