Roger “Whitey” William Chaudion

January 4, 1953 – December 31, 2024

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Roger William Chaudion, 71, Noblesville, on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Riverview Hospital. He was a man who brought laughter, love, and plenty of good times to everyone around him, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Born in Tipton on January 4, 1953, to the late Robert and Peggy (Harden) Chaudion, Roger grew up in Cicero and attended Hamilton Heights. On July 3, 1981, he married his best friend and love of his life, Karen Lynn (Tescher) Chaudion, and together they celebrated 43 years of love, laughter, and adventures.

Roger, also known as “Whitey,” to many, retired as a Construction Field Superintendent after a long, successful career. He was also a skilled carpenter and a plasterer. He was proud of his work, but his true passion lay in the things he loved – whether that was the joy of fishing, listening to country music, cheering for the Colts, or following NASCAR races. He was known for his deep love of the great outdoors, with countless weekends spent camping at Spring Valley Campground in Middletown, Ind., and soaking in the fresh air with family and friends.

Those who knew Roger also knew his heart was as big as his laugh. A fan of Westerns and good times, he could talk for hours about his favorite shows or share a joke to make everyone smile. But above all, his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandkids, whom he adored more than anything.

Roger is survived by his loving wife, Karen Lynn Chaudion of Noblesville; sons, Roger Michael Chaudion of Miramar Beach, Fla., and Kyle (Amy) Chaudion of Noblesville; granddaughters, Kate Mayner of Lebanon, Ind., and Kaylee L. Chaudion of Noblesville; grandsons, Roger “Dane” Chaudion of Miramar Beach, Fla., Andrew W. Chaudion of Noblesville, Austin (Alexis) Williams of Elwood, Ind., and Drew (Lauren) Williams of Seneca, S.C.; great-grandchildren, Beau and Baker Williams; and his sisters, LaDonna (David) Brown of Arcadia, RuthAnn (Matthew) Stringer of Arcadia, Terrie (Mike) Baker of Camby, Ind., and Kay (Keith) Baker of Atlanta; along with many nieces and nephews.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Tony Wayne Chaudion.

The funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Hartley Funeral Home, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero, with Associate Pastor Tom Cogis officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Following the service, Roger will be laid to rest in Cicero Cemetery.

In honor of Roger’s memory, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to LIFEHouse Ministries, a cause close to his heart.

Roger “Whitey” Chaudion was one-of-a-kind, and his legacy of love, laughter, and fun will live on forever in the hearts of those he left behind. Rest in peace, Whitey – you’ll never be forgotten.
