Westfield lost a 69-59 road game to Tri-West on Saturday.
The first three quarters were a battle, with the Shamrocks up 12-9 after one, then the Bruins led 21-20 at halftime. Both teams poured in the points in the third period, which ended tied at 44-all. But Tri-West outscored Westfield 25-15 in the fourth.
Caleb Welch had an incredible shooting night, draining six 3-pointers on his way to 23 points. Zach Banks added 17 points, with Josh Van Dyke chipping in 12. Welch also pulled six rebounds.
The ‘Rocks are now 5-8 and host Avon Friday in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game.
