Alexandra Shackell named Hamilton County Reporter’s Girls Swimmer of the Year

The Hamilton County Reporter is naming Carmel junior Alexandra Shackell as its 2023-24 Girls Swimmer of the Year.
Shackell was again a force for the Greyhounds, winning four individual events while helping Carmel extend its record state championship streak. Shackell set two records in the butterfly event, first setting a new mark in the prelims before breaking that record hours later in the finals. She also won the backstroke and was part of the championship medley and 400 freestyle relays.
