State Rep. Todd Huston (R-Fishers) joined fellow state leaders as Indiana’s next two-year budget was signed into law on Monday at the Statehouse in Indianapolis.

Huston, author of the bill, said the budget includes a historic investment in K-12 education, provides critical support to the Department of Child Services, and continues contributions to proven workforce development programs.

“Today’s signing reflects our ongoing commitment to schools, workforce programs, veterans and the safety of Hoosier children,” said Huston. “Our $34 billion balanced biennial budget is the culmination of many months of hard work. We funded the state’s priorities, protecting Indiana’s healthy reserves and valuable AAA credit rating without straining our finances or burdening future generations with debt.”
