Rebecca “Becky” Ray Clark

March 11, 1944 – February 6, 2021

Rebecca “Becky” Ray Clark, 76, Arcadia, passed away February 6, 2021 at IU Saxony Hospital in Fishers.

She was born on March 11, 1944, in Noblesville, to William Ancil and Elizabeth Adeline (Raison) Case. Growing up in Noblesville, she attended Noblesville Schools.

Becky, as she was fondly known, had worked for several years at Marlow’s Cafe in Westfield and later for Noblesville Schools as a custodian.

It goes without saying that Becky loved her family with all her heart. She was always kind and selfless in helping loved ones in any way she could. She was fond of cooking for them; her famous butterscotch pies were sought after at family gatherings. Becky worked hard throughout her life to provide for her five children and continued to help in the upbringing of her grandchildren.

Becky loved laughing with her family and would often do silly things to get someone to laugh or crack a smile. She had the patience of a saint, even to the extent of unraveling badly tangled Christmas lights in preparation for her favorite holiday. She also enjoyed displaying her motorized Christmas figures.

She enjoyed the simple things in life, such as the beauty of flowers, putting puzzles together, and sitting on her porch swing watching the cars pass by. If she felt lucky and had the opportunity, she would venture to a casino.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, April Anderson; and sisters, Betty Baker, Joan Retherford, and Shirley Grimes; and her long-time companion, Omar “Buddy” Peters.

Surviving her is a son, Jeffery Peters, Arcadia; daughters, Ronda Dannacher-Rohrman, Cicero, Kelly Brinkman, Noblesville, and Connie Malott, Cicero; a brother, Dave Case, Westfield; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Her family asked that you honor Becky’s life by spending quality time with a loved one, buying or planting flowers to enjoy, sharing a good laugh, working a puzzle, cooking with or for someone you love, taking an extra turn on a slot machine, or singing “You Are My Sunshine” or another meaningful song.

A memorial time of visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Hartley Funeral Home Cicero Chapel, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hartley Funeral Homes to assist the family with Becky’s funeral expenses. You may send condolences at hartleyfuneralhomes.com.
