The City of Carmel will unveil a new mural by artist Jessica Eastburn, the winner of a special artist contest which included a public vote and was partially funded by the Indiana Arts Commission.
The unveiling of the public art mural, titled Around Town, will take place at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13 during the city’s monthly Meet Me on Main event. The festivities will be held at Sophia Square, 110 W. Main St., at the west end breezeway near the public courtyard between Monterey Coastal Cuisine and Pad Thai restaurants.
Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard and officials with the Public Art Advisory Committee and Clay Township will be present. Plenty of free parking is available in the garage under Sophia Square.
