Buckingham Companies, an Indianapolis-based real estate investment firm, has announced that move-in will begin later this summer at Portrait Midtown, a premier apartment community in Carmel.
“Portrait Midtown was designed to be more than a place to live,” said Justine Massonnier, Buckingham Senior Vice President, Development Operations & Design. “We didn’t just build apartments; we created an address, one that sets a new benchmark for luxury in this market.”
Prospective residents can choose from one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, two- and three-bedroom townhomes, and one- and two-bedroom home-office residential combinations, each thoughtfully tailored to how people live and work in the modern era.
“Every decision we made at Portrait Midtown was guided by one question: what does the most discerning renter in Carmel expect?” Massonnier said. “The result is a community that delivers on every level: from the exquisite classical design to the three private outdoor amenity decks to the indoor lounges, library and top-of-line fitness and location. There is simply nothing else like it in the market.”
Just steps from Carmel’s Midtown Arts District, the Center for the Performing Arts, Sun King Plaza, and the Monon Trail, Portrait Midtown features a 24/7 Micro Market, two fitness studios, grilling stations, a dog park, a resort-style pool, and fire pits.
Residents can work from home or connect with neighbors in the lounges, co-working spaces, and outdoor plaza areas. Additional amenities include valet trash removal, rentable storage, EV charging, and a public parking garage with more than 400 spaces.
Two public art installations are prominently featured in the community, including a large-scale, multi-lamp installation by the London-based public art studio Acrylicize and a custom mural by Carl Leck of CBL Imagery.
“We see art not as something added at a later stage, but critical to the success of the community,” Massonnier said.
