Phillip “Phill” Strauss, 93, Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on September 30, 1930, in Indianapolis.
Phill proudly devoted his life to work and family. He retired at 85 from C&T Design and Equipment Company. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. For the entirety of his life, he lived independently and provided for others. This year marks his 69th wedding anniversary. He would tell you the newest restaurants, the best deals, and where you could go. When you needed him, he was always around “but never a square.”
He is survived by his wife, Joan Strauss; twin sons, Mike (Phyllis) Strauss and Mark Strauss; daughter, Leslie (Charlie) Acton; daughter-in-law, Anita Strauss; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Morris and Frances (Posnosky) Strauss, Phill was preceded in death by his son, Steve Strauss; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Strauss.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m., with services at 2 p.m., on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, Fishers.
