Paul Estridge steps aside daily role at Carmel-based Estridge Homes

Paul Estridge Jr. announced this past Tuesday that he is transitioning from his day-to-day responsibilities at Carmel-based Estridge Homes. He will remain with the company as an owner and will continue to be involved with strategic planning.

The leadership of Estridge Home will remain local. As part of the transition, Estridge has named Clint Mitchell, who joined the company in 2015, as its new chief executive officer. Rob McGraw, who joined the company in 1995, has been promoted to chief operating officer.

“The time has come, based on my age and personal capacities, to pass the torch to new leadership in the company,” Estridge said. “Clint and Rob have truly become great leaders, running the daily operations for over a year now. With their guidance and the hard work of our entire team, our revenues and profits are the best we have experienced in seven years. Their vision for the future of Estridge Homes, built on the heritage of our family’s 50 years of building homes in Central Indiana, is exciting and will continue to bring beautiful homes and neighborhoods to residents of Central Indiana.”

Privately-held Estridge Homes closed 599 homes from 2014 to 2020, including 100 in 2020 alone. This is in addition to the more than 8,000 homes that the Estridge family of companies has built in Central Indiana since Paul Estridge Sr. founded the original home building company in 1967. The Estridge family of companies has developed more than 30 neighborhoods, including Westfield’s Harmony and Serenade, and in 2021 has entered the luxury townhome market with the launch of Park West in Westfield and 16 Gateway in downtown Indianapolis.

Mitchell

Prior to joining Estridge Homes, Mitchell was the Senior Vice President of Business Development at Mainstreet Capital. At Estridge, he has overseen sales, land acquisition and capital raising. A DePauw University graduate, Mitchell resides in Carmel with his family.

“Clint is outstanding in all the areas necessary to lead a private home building and development company in today’s market,” Estridge noted. “He has the rare combination of financial knowledge and understanding of design, with a growing ability to see the business systemically. I have enjoyed watching his passion for the business and his deep desire to continually learn and grow.”

McGraw is a Purdue University graduate with a degree in Building Construction Management. His focus at Estridge will include homebuilding operations, including the areas of construction, estimating, and purchasing, and land development operations. McGraw and his family reside in Westfield.

The changes are effectively immediately.
