Fishers senior Olivia Norris had another outstanding summer as she competed in the javelin in several tournaments over the past few months.
Norris went through the summer undefeated, and threw a personal-record 142 feet for her best effort of the season. That distance ranked her fifth in the nation for 11th graders according to the athletic.net website. Norris would go on to compete in the AAU Nationals, where she finished fourth and earned All-American honors for the sixth time.
In addition, Norris competed in track and field for the Tigers during her junior season, qualifying for the regional in both the shot put and discus.
Norris has a 4.0 grade-point average at Fishers and will study Biochemistry in college. She is being recruited by several schools, including all from the Ivy League, as well as Big Ten, Big 12, Atlantic Coast Conference and Mid-American Conference schools.
