On the last warm day of this week, the owners of Vintage Adventures, 936 Maple Ave., Noblesville, had the shop’s garage door open to the world while owners Chris and Amie Knuckles worked making craft items. The Reporter’s publisher wandered in to learn about the business and share a bit with our readers.

Vintage Adventures is a small, family-run business specializing in hand-painted wood wall art.

“Using a unique watercolor technique, we create one-of-a-kind pieces that bring depth and character to any space,” Chris Knuckles told The Reporter. “In addition to our hand-painted artwork, we use UV printing technology to produce high-quality reproductions of our original designs on wood, allowing us to expand our product line to include coasters, magnets, and jewelry while maintaining the artistic integrity of our work.”

Vintage Adventures also offers custom merchandise services, providing personalized wood products for corporate gifts, employee appreciation, and promotional marketing.

“Our journey began in 2015 when we attended a local auction in search of furniture to repurpose for our home,” Chris said. “As we decorated, we realized the need for unique wall art to complement our refinished pieces. This led us to discover a passion for creating wood art, painting, and drawing – something we never expected. What started as a creative outlet quickly evolved into a small side business, selling on social media and at art fairs across the Midwest.”

Over the years, their business grew from a part-time passion into a full-time career.

Today, Vintage Adventures blends traditional hand-painted artistry with modern printing techniques to create high-quality, customizable wood products.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support of our customers and honored to have our work displayed in homes and businesses across the country,” Chris said.

You can stop by Vintage Adventures from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, call Amie and Chris at (317) 649-2850, or visit their Esty page at etsy.com/shop/vintageadventuresllc.
