The Hamilton County Assessor’s Office began mailing the Notice of Assessment Form 11 this week. The assessed value on the Form 11 is the starting point for calculating annual property tax payments.
“Land values have been reviewed and updated where needed throughout the County,” said County Assessor Robin Ward. “The total value of land and structures should reflect a typical market value for your area or neighborhood.”
A taxpayer has the right to file an appeal with the county assessor, should they disagree with the assessment. The deadline to appeal is June 15 (45 days from the date of notice). Information on the appeals process may be found at in.gov/dlgf/2508.htm.
