Nonprofit to hold first ‘Softball Slamfest’ at Morse Park & Beach

Universal Cares, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, will hold its first Universal Cares Softball Slamfest on Saturday, June 18 at Morse Park & Beach, 19777 Morse Park Lane, Noblesville.

Universal Cares has partnered with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Community Foundation, Hamilton County Parks and Recreation, and Friends of Hamilton County Parks to split funds equally between the four organizations.

“Over the past year, Universal Cares has collaborated with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Community Foundation, Hamilton County Parks and Recreation, and Friends of Hamilton County Parks in various capacities,” Katie Cubberley, Director of Marketing and Community Engagement, said. “In the initial brainstorming sessions for this year’s fundraisers, the logistics of planning a softball tournament involved contacting each of the other organizations. At that point it only seemed fitting for everyone to come together for the Universal Cares Softball Slamfest to benefit all our organizations.”

Universal Cares’ mission is to actively support Indiana communities as engaged citizens by connecting friends and neighbors through compassionate community service.
