The Noblesville wrestling team won the Triton Central Invitational on Saturday.
The Millers finished 5-0 in their dual competitions, with victories over Lapel 58-21, Western Boone 73-3, Triton Central 46-33, Columbus North 56-24 and Shelbyville 71-6.
Four Noblesville wrestlers finished the day undefeated at 5-0: Nathan Ritz at 120 pounds, 126-pounder Dalton Huffman, Justin Johnson-Sparks at 132 and Gary Kitko at 138.
After that, six more Millers went 4-1 at the tournament: Tim Alexander at 106, Joey Kitko at 113, Sebastian Dillon at 145, Zack Knoll at 170, Anthony George at 182 and Andrew Koontz at 220.
Noblesville coach Michael Weimer said he was “very proud of the kids” and they improvement they have shown since last Saturday. He was also happy with his younger wrestlers, saying that his freshmen “were on point today.”
“It was exciting to watch them compete,” said Weimer.
