At its Wednesday afternoon meeting, the Noblesville Township Board, consisting of members Joe Arrowood, Peggy Pfister, and John Davis, voted unanimously to approve $40,000 to fund improvements to the Forest Park Aquatic Center.
Of that total, $30,000 will be used to purchase outdoor tables games near the pool. These games would provide entertainment for non-swimmer family members who are visiting the park pool. The other $10,000 will be used for operational expenses.
The board also approved $3,000 to Legacy Keepers for the continuation of the Stringtime Summer Music concert series on the courthouse square. This has been a popular free community event for several years.
Additionally, $1,000 was granted to Wafford Theater to sponsor free movies at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds this summer.
