The permanent Charters of Freedom installment – replicas of the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights and Constitution – will be unveiled to the public during a dedication ceremony at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 at Federal Hill Commons in Noblesville. The Hamilton County Charters of Freedom was made possible through a partnership with educational non-profit Foundation Forward.

“We are excited to have life-sized replicas of the three documents instrumental to America’s founding and philosophy prominently displayed in downtown Noblesville – to honor our history and teach future generations,” said Noblesville Mayor John Ditslear. “We will have a great time and a grand celebration Saturday for the public.”

The dedication will be held prior to the free concert by Separate Ways, a Journey tribute band, at Federal Hill Commons. The patriotic ceremony will include the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Daughters of the American Revolution and speeches from Foundation Forward founders Vance and Mary Jo Patterson and other dignitaries. The ceremony includes a cannon volley, which residents should be aware of in case they are near the venue and hear the noise.

Hamilton County is the 26th Charters of Freedom installation gifted by Foundation Forward to local communities across the country, and only the third to be illuminated.

Legacy Pavers, which will be continuously installed around the Charters of Freedom, are available for purchase in honor of loved ones, active duty military or veterans, first responders, families or organizations. The settings provide a magnificent, permanent centerpiece in communities to remember the country’s history. Click here for more information on pavers.
