Noblesville teen injured on Morse Reservoir

Police, firefighters and paramedics responded to Morse Reservoir near the 21000 block of Waterscape Way in Noblesville on Tuesday on a report of an injured teenager.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel located Gregory Thomas, 19, Noblesville, with severe head and facial injuries.

Officials with the Department of Natural resources say the initial investigation indicates that Thomas was operating a waverunner and went airborne while jumping the wake of a boat. Thomas was then struck by Aiden Hobbs, 18. Hobbs was not injured.

Thomas was transported to Riverview Hospital and then flown by air-ambulance to St. Vincent Hospital.

Police stated that alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor.
