The Rotary Club of Noblesville held its annual scholarship breakfast last Thursday at Ginger’s Café in Noblesville.

For the past six years, the club has dedicated the proceeds from its primary fundraiser, the BrewBQ, to support students at Ivy Tech. Marking its biggest contribution ever, the Rotary Club presented a check for $20,000 to the Ivy Tech Hamilton County scholarship fund. This money will cover the full cost of one semester of tuition for up to eight students.

“We believe in the power of education to transform lives,” Club President Carrie Dixon said. “To us this isn’t a donation, but rather an investment in the future of Hamilton County. Our BrewBQ exceeded all expectations, and we are humbled to be able to support so many of our local students.”

The 2023 BrewBQ was attended by more than 500 local residents. The single largest amateur barbecue competition in central Indiana, the BrewBQ has become the highlight of the summer schedule for many grillers.

The 2024 BrewBQ is already scheduled for Aug. 17, 2024. To enter a grill team or learn how you can support the scholarship fund, please email noblesvillerotary@gmail.com.
