The Noblesville Police Department is proud to announce the graduation of Lieutenant Eric Cunningham from the 274th Session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Va.
Lt. Cunningham graduated from the 10-week training program on Dec. 14. This was the 274th session of the National Academy and consisted of 249 law enforcement officers from all 50 states, District of Columbia, 23 international countries, five military organizations and seven federal civilian organizations.
The FBI National Academy is a professional course of study for U.S. and international law enforcement managers nominated by their agency heads because of demonstrated leadership qualities. The program – which provides coursework in intelligence theory, terrorism and terrorist mindsets, management science, law, behavioral science, law enforcement communication and forensic science – serves to improve the administration of justice in police departments and agencies at home and abroad and to raise law enforcement standards, knowledge and cooperation worldwide.
Lt. Cunningham joins a cadre of other current leaders on the department that have graduated from the academy to include:
- Curt Kinman – Session 212 in 2003
- Bruce Barnes – Session 221 in 2005
- Captain Brad Arnold – Session 224 in 2006
- Captain Jon William – Session 238 in 2009
- Captain Shannon Trump – Session 254 in 2013
- Shane Ginnan – Session 257 in 2014
- Robert Busalacchi – Session 271 in 2018
