Noblesville Police Department opens application process

The Noblesville Police Department (NPD) is accepting pre-applications for the 2022 Applicant Screen Process.

Citizens can apply for the selection process at cityofnoblesville.org/employment. The deadline to apply is Sept. 16. The process is scheduled to take approximately three to five months to complete and will include the following components:

  1. Pre-Application Screening Process
  2. Physical Fitness Screening
  3. Written Examination
  4. Oral Interview and Writing Exercise
  5. Complete Personal History Statement
  6. Polygraph Examination
  1. Background Examination
  2. Psychological Examination
  3. Complete Physical Examination/Drug Test
  4. Approval of Police Merit Commission

Basic minimum requirements include:

  1. Must be a U.S. Citizen
  2. Must have a successfully received a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  3. Must be at least 21 years of age and have not reached 40 years of age by date of hire
  4. Must possess a valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle
  5. No felony of domestic violence convictions
  6. No Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) convictions
  7. No dishonorable discharge from the military service

The Noblesville Police Department offers an excellent benefit package with includes the following:

  1. Competitive salary starting at $61,984 after a one-year probationary period and a salary of $71,281.60 after completion of the fourth year
  2. 15 vacation days after the first year
  3. 80 percent of medical, dental and vision premiums paid
