Noblesville Main Street names new executive director

Noblesville Main Street (NMS) has announced the appointment of Kate Baker as the organization’s next executive director. Baker is a Noblesville resident with experience in both nonprofit and corporate settings.

Baker

Most recently, Baker worked for Conner Prairie as the organization’s senior manager of advancement and board relations. In that role, she worked directly with the board of directors and frontline fundraisers to manage giving and help implement the development team’s fundraising strategy. Her prior experience also includes roles with Fuel TV, HBO, and small businesses based in Hamilton County.

Baker is no stranger to Noblesville Main Street either. She joined the board of directors at the end of 2019 and served in roles for the development, marketing, and executive teams. She is also active in her church community, serving as the assistant music director at Noblesville First United Methodist Church and volunteering with Sunshine Friends, a ministry providing fellowship for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

“After a thorough search, Noblesville Main Street sees Kate as the ideal candidate to lead us into our next chapter as an organization,” said Liz Tate, President of the NMS Board of Directors. “Her track record of success speaks for itself, and we are impressed by the plan she has in place to move Main Street forward.”

“It is my honor to step into this position,” Baker said. “Noblesville raised me and gave me the confidence to step out into the world. As a resident of Old Town, I’m thankful that I can play an active part in the future of our culture downtown. Noblesville Main Street puts the history, vibrancy, and the unmatched charm of our treasured city at the forefront. I’m looking forward to all the ways Noblesville Main Street will be able to support our community in the days ahead, making it even more of a place for all to belong.”
