At their Oct. 22 meeting, the Noblesville Lions welcomed Alicia Klingerman, Executive Director of Family Promise of Hamilton County. She highlighted the three programs that Family Promise is focused on: prevention, diversion, and stabilization.
- Prevention includes assisting families with rental assistance, budgeting classes, and connection to other community resources to avoid homelessness.
- Diversion supports those families experiencing homelessness and seeking shelter to either restore housing or secure attainable housing.
- Stabilization empowers families to succeed now and remain stable in housing, financial capability and careers for up to two years.
Family Promise works with the local Youth Assistance Programs, township trustees, and public schools to help Hamilton County families with unstable housing situations. The organization served 223 families in 2024. You can learn more at Facebook.com/FamilyPromiseofHamiltonCounty or FamilyPromiseHamiltonCountyIN.org.
