On Oct. 23, the Noblesville Lions Club attended the Indiana District Directors meeting and received the 500% Model Club award from the Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF).

The award came about due to Lion Clayton Fleming honoring the LCIF with an estate bequest amount sufficient to make the Noblesville Lions a 500% Model Club. While a member of the Noblesville Lions, Clayton held different officer positions with the club. He is best remembered as Chair of the Grade School Dictionaries program, which has been in effect for many years. The Lions give out dictionaries every year to a local third grade class.

This is a very prestigious honor for the Noblesville Club, as it is recognized with Lions Clubs locally, statewide, and internationally. The club’s fondest memories and thanks are with Lion Clayton for his many years of service to the club and this bequest.
