Noblesville High School announces Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2020

The Noblesville High School athletic department has announced its inductees for the Noblesville High School Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2020.
The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place at halftime of the Jan. 31, 2020 boys varsity basketball game with Hamilton Southeastern.

Terry Coomer (1973) – baseball, football
Lettered four years in baseball; was a member of four sectional championship teams. As a sophomore, pitched a perfect game in the sectional final striking out 19 of the 21 batters he faced. For his high school career, he won 13 of 18 decisions and struck out 207 batters in 120 innings. He allowed just 68 hits and had a 1.23 ERA. Terry also played football, where he was an outstanding linebacker.

Betty Heppner (1970-1980) – Gymnastics Coach
Started the gymnastics program at Noblesville High School in 1970. Coached an individual state champion in 1973. Also coached two regional individual champions. Coached the 1973 team sectional champions. Coach Heppner was recognized as one of the finest gymnastic coaches in Indiana.
Krissi Meek (1996) – soccer, basketball
Four-year letter winner in both soccer and basketball. All-County four years in soccer. Two-time Player of the Year. All-Metro North and First Team All-State all four years in soccer. All-County and All-Sectional in basketball as a junior and senior. All-Semi State as a senior in basketball. County Player of the Year as a senior in basketball.

Matt Sparks (1992) – track, cross country
Four-year letterman in track and cross country. In track, three-time All-State. Set the school record in the 800 meters, the 1600 meters, the 3200 meters and the 4 X 1600 meter relay. Finished third at the state track meet in both the 3200 and the 1600 meters. In cross country, three-time All State. Finished in the top five at the state cross country meet three times. Won 11 varsity letters.

2014 Baseball State Champions
Class 4A state champions who finished with a 28-8 record. Defeated Terre Haute North 2- 1 in the championship game. Hoosier Crossroads Conference champions. Coached by Justin Keever.
