Shortly after 8:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, the Noblesville Fire Department (NFD) was dispatched to the 800 block of Forest Ridge Drive for a reported chimney fire. Upon arrival, crews observed smoke coming from the attic space, and the Battalion Chief immediately marked the incident as a working residential fire.
Firefighters quickly made contact with the homeowner and safely evacuated the residents along with their pets. The fire was reported to the Hamilton County Communications Center via 911 after one of the residents noticed flames escaping the fireplace and smoke coming from the attic.

NFD crews made a rapid interior attack and were able to bring the fire under control shortly after arriving on scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation and has not yet been released.
NFD was assisted at the scene by the Noblesville Police Department.
