Noblesville firefighters recognized

The Noblesville Professional Fire Fighters Local 4416 and the Noblesville Fire Department held their 10th annual Awards and Recognition Banquet on June 4.

This banquet is held annually to recognize members of the department for their acts of courage, bravery, and exemplary performance over the year while serving the citizens of Noblesville.

Noblesville Professional Fire Fighters District Vice President John Huseman served as the emcee, and former Professional Firefighters Union of Indiana President Tom Hanify served as the keynote speaker. Noblesville Mayor Chris Jensen, Public Safety Director Chad Knecht, and Noblesville Council President Megan Wiles were in attendance. Noblesville Fire Chief Matt Mitchell concluded the event by thanking members for their hard work, commitment, and dedication to the mission of the Noblesville Fire Department.

Congratulations to the 2021 award recipients:

  • Fire Fighter of the Year and Medal of Valor Recipient: Fire Fighter/Paramedic Dan Milligan
  • Leadership Award: Engineer/EMS Duty Officer Tony Murray
  • Officer of the Year: Captain Jim Butts
  • EMT of the Year: Fire Fighter/Paramedic Nate Smith
  • Excellence in Training: Lieutenant Mike Durall and Engineer Rob Moore

Additional Noblesville Fire Department members were recognized with unit citations for extraordinary work. Local 4416 thanks everyone who attended this year’s awards and recognition ceremony.
