The Noblesville Fire Department (NFD) is excited to announce the promotion of two firefighters. Josh Small has been promoted to Training Captain and Nate Agee has been promoted to Engineer.
Small is a graduate of Hamilton Heights High School. After graduation, he served in the United States Air Force for four years. Small returned to Hamilton County when he was hired by the Noblesville Fire Department 11 years ago. For the last five years, Small has served as an Engineer at multiple stations. Small is an active member of the Tactical Rescue Team, a certified instructor, and a member of the Training Cadre.
Engineer Nate Agee is a graduate of Greenfield High School. Agee has 10 years of fire experience and has been a member of the Noblesville Fire Department for the last five years. In his five years with NFD, Agee has become key contributor on both EMS and Fire calls. Engineer Agee is a member of the Hazardous Materials Team and is now serving as an Engineer on C-Crew.
“We want to thank both Josh and Nate for stepping into these roles in a time such as this. Captain Small brings years of valuable experience to this post and will continue to serve Division Chief O’Neal and NFD selflessly,’’ said Noblesville Fire Chief Matt Mitchell. “Nate assumed the open merit Engineer spot vacated by Josh. Nate has moved into an engineer position on C-Crew. Nate is positioned to be a key contributor in our mission to combat suffering. We are excited to have these two firefighters move into these new positions. Their knowledge and passion will help NFD continue to provide an elite service.”
