As the New Year approaches, it is natural to consider change and look for inspiration. No Title Needed looks to find what drives people – what folks are passionate about and what inspires them – and then bring that to you.
In this week’s episode, kick off the New Year with hosts Scott Osborne and Cindy Collins as they bring you a heavy dose of inspiration with attorney and trailblazer Jan Kepley Keefer. From finding her voice as a young girl in Washington, D.C., to her impactful work with the IU Women’s Philanthropy Leadership Council, Keefer’s story is a masterclass in independence and “aiming big.” She talked about her career, her life, and the power of women finding their own voices.
“You can be anything you want to be.” Keefer’s father imparted these words to his young daughter, allowing her to pursue her dream of becoming an attorney. Hear what led her to look to that career and how her mother inspired her, as well.
Finishing up her high school years in Marion, Ind., Keefer shared the culture shock of moving there. Becoming a Hoosier must have worked for her, though, as she decided to change her plans and stay in Indiana for her undergraduate and graduate studies.
Keefer is a member of the Women’s IU Foundation – Women’s Philanthropy Fellowship Council. Learn more about why this organization was founded and how this led to a feeling of independence for women. During her interview, she describes the program and explains the groups it continues to help after 15 years.

No Title Needed will take a break next Monday, Jan. 5, but will return on Jan. 12 with guest Jeff McDermott, President and CEO of the Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts and The Songbook Foundation in Carmel. No Title Needed is taped every week inside The Hotel Carmichael in Carmel. Tune in as Scott Osborne and Cindy Collins welcome a new guest and explore what fuels those people and their passions beyond the 9-to-5 grind.
