Just before 10 a.m. on Tuesday, the Noblesville Fire Department (NFD) responded to a residence fire at 1705 Maple Ave.
The first crews to arrive reported smoke coming from the home. Firefighters were able to make an aggressive interior attack and quickly extinguish the fire in the basement.
One resident was evaluated by an ambulance crew and chose not to be transported to a hospital.
Fire damage was limited to the basement. The cause of the fire has not been released at this time.
NFD was assisted by the Noblesville Police Department.
