New roundabout coming to 96th Street & Allisonville Road

Graphic provided by City of Fishers

On April 1, construction began on the 96th Street and Allisonville Road roundabout project. The existing Michigan Left intersection will be eliminated and transitioned to a two-lane roundabout adjacent to the new River Place development.

This project is slated to be completed at the end of the year, with minor enhancements completed in the Spring of 2025.

Here’s what to expect:

  • On April 1, the construction contractor began mobilizing at the construction site. Crews placed temporary pavement and transition Allisonville Road to the northbound lanes.
  • On or after Tuesday, April 9, the contractor will close 96th Street to the west of Allisonville Road. This closure will be in place for 30 or more days. During this closure, southbound traffic will not be permitted to turn left onto 96th Street from Allisonville Road. Allisonville Road will remain open to both north and southbound traffic.  All access to local businesses will remain in place.

Note: Fishers Engineering and Public Works Departments will suspend all road construction work on the day of the eclipse, Monday, April 8.
