The Downtown Westfield Association and Westfield Welcome have partnered to bring live music to Grand Junction Plaza this summer. The Market Concert Series presented by F.A. Wilhelm Construction will feature four concerts on the Great Lawn in the Plaza in conjunction with the Thursday evening Farmers Market.
The first concert will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 2 featuring Valerie Phelps. The Farmers Market gets underway at 5 p.m.
“Who doesn’t love live music at a farmers market?” said Downtown Westfield Association CEO Steve Latour. “Grand Junction Plaza gives us the ultimate spot – right in the heart of downtown Westfield to shop, eat and listen to live music. We have been excited about this idea for the past year. Thanks to the generous support of F.A. Wilhelm Construction, we will host four big shows alongside the Westfield Farmers Market.”
“F.A. Wilhelm Construction is honored to be the City of Westfield’s construction partner on Grand Junction Plaza. The project is a great addition to Westfield and will be enjoyed by the community for years to come,” said Mike Kerr, Executive Vice President of F.A. Wilhelm. “We are proud to be a sponsor for the many events planned by the City of Westfield and the Downtown Westfield Association throughout the year.”
Public parking for the event is available in the gravel lot directly east of Grand Junction Plaza, at Westfield Friends Church and in the parking lot at the southwest corner of Poplar Street and Park Street. Shuttle service will be available for the duration of the market from Westfield Friends Church and the Poplar and Park Street parking lot. Please look for the “Shuttle Service” tents. With its start in 2008, Downtown Westfield Association is a non-profit organization in partnership with the City of Westfield. Its goal is to connect the community through the downtown.
