Missing Cicero man recovered from Morse Lake

The boater missing since April 6 has been located and his body recovered from Morse Lake.

The victim, 45-year-old Jeremy Clayton, was a resident of Cicero. His family has been notified.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office extends its condolences to his family and friends.

The Sheriff’s Department, the Department of Natural Resources and Hamilton County Emergency Management drone pilots had been searching Morse Lake for Clayton since Monday, April 6.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer Ryan McClain previously told The Reporter that Clayton “had possibly dropped a friend off at the marina. On his way back from there to go back to his parents’ residence something happened.”

The Sheriff’s Department found his empty boat at a dock in the Forest Bay area, where it had struck another boat. The engine was still running.
