The Noblesville softball team cruised to a 19-5, five-inning win Thursday at Tipton.
The Millers led 7-5 after four innings, then ran away with the game by scoring 12 runs in the top of the fifth. Taylor Thompson had an outstanding day at the plate with three home runs. Thompson hit a two-run homer in the first inning, then got two more home runs in the fifth. In all, Thompson drove in five runs on a 4-for-4 night and scored four runs. Scout Duplaga also hit a fifth-inning homer.
Reis Sjoholm had a 4-for-5 night at the plate, with two RBIs and two runs scored. Ella White went 3-for-4, batting in three runs and scoring three. Gabby Fowler was 2-for-2, hitting two triples to drive in two runs. Lala Blower also went 2-for-2, including a triple, while Lauren DeRolf went 2-for-2 as well. Both scored two runs.
Kira Thomas pitched three innings for the win.
Noblesville is 17-4 and plays a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game tonight at Franklin Central.
