Noblesville’s boys basketball team dropped a 67-31 road game to Pike on Tuesday.
The Red Devils led 13-8 after the first quarter and 27-16 at halftime. Pike then outscored the Millers 40-15 in the second half.
“Tonight was disappointing because our offensive and defensive execution was not sharp,” said Noblesville coach Brian McCauley. “Pike really hurt us with their ball pressure which led to 15 turnovers. We need to continue to do a better job of cutting and screening.
“Defensively we struggled stopping the drive and rebounding. Pike out-rebounded us by eight and they had seven offensive rebounds for 10 points.”
Zack Johnson led the Millers with 12 points and four rebounds.
“We need to use this as motivation to keep working to improve in practice and get prepared for our holiday tourney coming up on Dec. 27,” said McCauley.
Noblesville will host Indianapolis Lighthouse East at noon on Dec. 27 in a first-round game of the Noblesville Holiday Tournament.
