The Noblesville boys tennis team fell to No. 6-ranked Jasper 4-1 in the quarterfinal round of the IHSAA state finals Friday at North Central’s Barbara Wynne Tennis Center.
The No. 18-ranked Millers’ lone win came from No. 1 singles Ethan Feliciano, who won his match 6-2, 6-4. In the other matches, No. 2 singles Zane Panning lost 6-2, 6-4, while No. 3 singles Max Habel extended his opponent to a third-set super tiebreak before falling 6-3, 6-7, 10-7.
In doubles play, No. 1 Jack Brenneman and Dane Campbell lost 7-5, 6-3 and No. 2 Parker Stallings and Dustin Turpin fell 6-2, 6-3.
Noblesville finished the season 11-6 and made its second consecutive appearance at the state meet.
