Millers beat No. 3 Anderson, 66-59

Noblesville got off to a good start over visiting Anderson Tuesday at The Mill, and that led the Class 4A No. 14 Millers to a 66-59 victory over the 4A No. 3 Indians.

Baron Walker sparked Noblesville in the first quarter, scoring 10 points (including two 3-pointers) to help the Millers to an 18-10 lead. Noblesville increased its margin to 31-20 by halftime. Anderson made a comeback in the third quarter, cutting the Millers’ advantage to 41-36, but Noblesville poured in 25 points in the fourth period to get the win. Walker put up 12 points in the fourth, going 8 of 9 from the free-throw line in that quarter.

Walker finished the game with 27 points, making 9 of 10 free throws overall. Justin Curry scored 12 points and TJ Davidson contributed 11 points. Curry led the rebounds with eight, followed by Aiden Brewer with five. Walker also dished out five assists.

Noblesville is 15-4 and hosts Brownsburg Friday in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game.
