Merchants Bank of Indiana announced on Thursday the hiring of Karin Cook as Vice President, Treasury Management Officer, who will be based out of the company’s headquarters in Carmel.

With nearly two decades of experience in the banking industry, Cook is a recognized and accomplished leader in the field, with proven success in sales, sales management and business development. Prior to joining Merchants, she most recently served as vice president, banking center manager for the National Bank of Indianapolis. Before this, she was an assistant vice president and branch manager at PNC Bank where she facilitated overall branch profitability and grew net branch contribution by 12 percent in one year.
In her new role with Merchants Bank, Cook will be responsible for providing financial solutions, managing cash flow needs and working to efficiently streamline the banking process.

Cook graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations from Ball State University.
