Did you know the number one resiliency factor for at-risk youth is the involvement a caring adult?
Sheridan Community Schools is working with the Sheridan Youth Assistance Program to grow mentoring relationships with students in our schools. Adults are needed as volunteer mentors of students at Sheridan Middle School.
Mentors will meet at least twice a month with their student and will commit to at least a year of mentorship. Training and fun group activities will be offered as well. More information and the mentor application can be found at youthassistance.org/become-a-mentor-sheridan.
Beth Sabelhaus is the coordinator of this program and is happy to answer any questions you have. She can be reached at esabelhaus@sheridan.k12.in.us or by calling (317) 758-4431 ext. 4460.
