Marlis Jane Wayman, 65, Noblesville, surrounded by her family, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at her home. She was born on December 26, 1957, to Jack and Corrine (White) Gerdes in Muskogee, Okla.
Marlis was a housekeeper for Sanders Glen Assisted Living. She enjoyed nature, being outside, and taking hikes. Marlis also liked traveling with her husband.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Mark Edward Wayman; children, Nicole Standifer, Ashley (Dan) Watkins, Anna (Erin) Merchant, Joel Wayman, Jessica (Justin) Miller, and Joshua Ryan; siblings, Jack Gerdes, Jr., Eddie Gerdes, Georgia Hughart, and Teresa Wolff; sister-in-law, Pamela (Terry) Gallaway; brother-in-law, Dan (Angie) Wayman; and grandchildren, Teagan Engles, Isaac Boatwright, Cami Merchant, Eli Merchant, Avery Merchant, Kolt Merchant, and Audrina Wayman Miller.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2023, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2023, at Lighthouse Assembly of God, 5909 S. Jay St., Marion, with Rev. Jerry Gallaway officiating.
