Marian University Healthcare Camp gives 77 students glimpse into profession

Marian University Healthcare Camp – a one-week camp offering interactive, hands-on, and high-tech experiences for 77 high school sophomores, juniors and seniors interested in learning more about healthcare professions. Healthcare Camp participants experience:

  • Performing actual procedures in a medical simulation lab.
  • Learning how to splint broken bones.
  • Practicing medical research.
  • Participating in in-person meetings and training sessions with university healthcare faculty.

The camp will take place Monday, June 5 to Friday, June 9 at the Michael A. Evans Center for Health Sciences at Marian University, 3200 Cold Spring Road, Indianapolis.

The cost is $100, which includes lunch, snacks, and one overnight stay in a residence hall with dinner and activities. Thanks to the generous funding from the Tom & Julie Wood Family Foundation, the $100 registration fee is covered for campers demonstrating financial need.
