Malcolm J. MacRae, 82, Westfield, passed away November 27, 2020 on his 56th wedding anniversary with his wife by his side. Mac, as he was called by family and friends, was born in Riverside, Conn., on July 17, 1938 to the late Malcolm and Margaret (Watson) MacRae.
Mac graduated from Oliver Ames High School in North Easton, Mass., in 1956. He went on to Northeastern University in Boston where he graduated in 1961 with a degree in History and German. He immediately joined the Navy as an officer.
Mac is survived by his wife, Carol; and their four children, MaryAnn (Sean) O’Hara, Indianapolis, Duncan (Karen Kearney) MacRae, Roslindale, Mass., Tom (Amy) MacRae, Carmel, and Becky (Lee) Coolidge, Carmel; sister, Ellen (MacRae) Frey, North Easton, Mass.; grandchildren, Delaney O’Hara, Connor, Kyle and Logan MacRae, and Clayton, Cooper and Campbell Coolidge.
There will be a Celebration of Mac’s life in late spring of 2021.
