Making an historical stop on Fourth of July

Photo provided by Steve Martin, Sheridan Historical Society

While waiting for the annual Fourth of July parade to begin on Sheridan’s Main Street, the Cox children took time to visit the Sheridan Historical Society Museum and enjoy their picture being taken as they sat in the antique school desks on display. In front is Wade, and behind him are Margot and Everett.

The museum has lots of things that will interest moms and dads and boys and girls of all ages. It is open on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays all summer long from 1 to 4 p.m., and you are invited to visit and see what the Historical Society is all about.

The museum is located at 315 S. Main St. in beautiful uptown Sheridan, just on the country side of greater Hamilton County.
