Make plans to ‘Drive-In’ to ATI

Music fans are invited to hop in their cars and head on down to the Drive-In! Actors Theatre of Indiana will help folks travel back to those summer nights when the family would pile into their two-toned Chevys to watch their favorite stars under the stars.

ATI will present three outdoor “Drive-In” concerts at the Monon Square Shopping Center in Carmel. The concerts, from 7 to 9 p.m., will take place Friday, Sept. 18; Friday, Oct. 23; and Friday, Nov. 27.

Enjoy the music that made the movies memorable, performed by Don Farrell, Judy Fitzgerald, Cindy Collins and Tim Hunt. Fans will have a chance to reminisce with songs that were made famous by Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Shirley Bassey, Dean Martin, Tom Jones, Peggy Lee and so many more.

Tickets for this event will be sold through Eventbrite, so scanning your ticket at the gate is your only interaction. Tickets will be available at three different levels. “Lawn Seats” are available at $60 per car. “Pavilion Seats” are $100. A third “VIP” option comes with closer parking, two ATI face masks and an appetizer coupon to Donatello’s Italian Restaurant. There will be no refunds. With a limit of six guests per car, there will also be a limited number of cars for each section of parking, following a first-come, first-served format upon arrival.

To ensure continued safety for guests, there will be social distancing for cars. Cars will be parked in a checker board layout with cars placed every other space. Face masks will be required when patrons are outside of their cars. Guests are invited to bring their own food to the event or purchase from restaurants inside the Center. No food vendors will be on hand.

Due to the Drive-In nature of the event, patrons choosing to sit on a blanket or in chairs should remain within their car’s radius and must wear masks. No one on foot will be permitted to attend, so BYOC – bring your own car.

For the safety of visitors, volunteers working the event will be wearing masks and gloves. Restrooms will be available within the restaurants and brewery in the Center. Congregating in the parking lot and around the stage will not be permitted.

This ATI event is being sponsored by United Fidelity Bank, The City of Carmel and Surroundings by Natureworks+. With the loss of the 2020-2021 indoor season, Actors Theatre of Indiana does not want to miss out on engaging with the community. This will be a chance to interact while providing a fun and entertaining evening out.
