Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria coming soon to Carmel

Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, based in Northbrook, Ill., has announced it will officially make Carmel home to its second Indiana location. A Schererville outpost opened in July 2019. The famous deep dish pizzeria is slated to open in late October, currently under construction, at 11435 Spring Mill Road, Suite 170 in Carmel.

The 1,550 square-foot space will be a carryout and delivery only location, adjacent to Starbucks, and part of The Bridges mixed-use development at the corner of West 116th Street and Spring Mill Road. The new store will not include a dining room, but will offer easy curbside pickup, no-contact delivery, and drop off catering services for hungry patrons in the Carmel area.

Malnati’s will hire approximately 50 local employees between kitchen crew, phone staff and delivery drivers for its newest location. The company is now hiring for various positions online with plans to hold a recruiting event in the coming weeks. The interviews will be conducted via Zoom to allow for social distancing and ensure the health and safety of applicants and team members. Interested applicants are asked to provide proof of authorization to work in the United States and a resume, if applicable. Also, qualified candidates may apply online at loumalnatis.com/careers or by texting “Lous” to 85000.

Malnati

The Malnati family has become famous for their original recipe, top-notch quality and hospitality since 1971. Today the business is headed by Lou’s son, Marc Malnati. Although this is the first location in the Indianapolis metro area, Indiana and Indiana University hold a special place within the hearts of the Malnati organization, including proud Hoosiers Marc Malnati, Owner, Heather Stege, President, and Corey Bright, Director of Analytics. In addition, Bright has local ties as she attended Carmel High School and helped Lou Malnati’s pick out their first Indy location.

Despite these difficult times, Lou Malnati’s says it looks forward to opening a new store and supporting the local economy.

“We’re excited to expand our footprint in Indiana and make Carmel home to our first location in the Indianapolis area,” said Marc Malnati. “We’re planning to have several stores in the area, including a full-service restaurant in Broad Ripple (coming 2021) and are committed to providing jobs in the local community.”
