Local organizations invite public to participate in Noblesville Community Belonging Initiative

A group of organizations, businesses, and nonprofits are launching the Noblesville Community Belonging Initiative.

The Community Belonging Initiative will gather feedback about how people experience life in Noblesville. The study will explore where people feel welcome and connected, what helps create a sense of belonging, and what may prevent some people from feeling fully part of the community.

The shared hope is for Noblesville to be a community where all people feel safe and welcome, know they belong, and can participate and thrive. Reaching that goal begins with listening to the experiences of the people who live, work, shop, and play here.

Not everyone experiences Noblesville in the same way. Hearing from a large and varied group of people will provide a more complete picture of our community and help identify ways we can make Noblesville stronger, more welcoming, and more connected.

SMARI, a local, independent research company, will conduct the survey and analyze the results. SMARI will manage the research process, protect the confidentiality of individual responses, and report the findings as combined results.

Community members may receive an invitation to participate from an organization where they serve, work, attend, or are otherwise connected. Survey invitations will also be distributed at the Noblesville Farmers Market on Saturday, Aug. 15.

If you receive an invitation, please take a few minutes to participate. The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, and every response matters. By sharing your experience, you can help community leaders better understand what is working, where challenges remain, and how we can work together to create a Noblesville where everyone feels they belong.

“We want to hear from as many people as possible,” Project Coordinator Dana Randall said. “Building a better Noblesville is something we all have a part in. When people share their honest experiences, we can listen, learn, and take meaningful steps toward becoming the kind of community we want to be.”

The initiative is supported by Crosser Family Foundation, Hamilton County Tourism, Inc., Hamilton County Community Foundation, Noblesville Chamber of Commerce, Noblesville Diversity Coalition, and the City of Noblesville, along with various partner organizations that are inviting the people they serve and are connected with to participate.
