Lisa Thornton named Shepherd’s Center development director

Lisa F. Thornton has been named the new director of development and communications for Shepherd’s Center of Hamilton County (SCHC).

Thornton is a nonprofit leader with extensive experience in development, marketing, and communications, including service as a CEO in the nonprofit sector. Her career reflects a consistent focus on advancing mission-driven organizations across nonprofit and corporate sectors, including experience in senior services and community impact.

Most recently, she served as Chief Development and Marketing Officer with Meals on Wheels of Hamilton County, reinforcing her longstanding commitment to enhancing the quality of life for older adults.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Louisville and a Certificate in Fund Raising Management (CFRM) through the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.

She brings her extensive experience in development and communications in support of strengthening SCHC’s mission of serving older adults.
