Linda Amanda Clemons, 77, Carmel, passed away September 12, 2026. She was born March 6, 1949, the eldest child of the late Lt. Col. Coy Clemons Jr. and Lavance Clemons.
Linda attended the University of Michigan, where she served as a resident advisor in the undergraduate dorms. She received her Undergraduate Teaching and Graduate Degrees in Special Education and Technical Writing. Linda pledged to the AKA Sorority in 1969 at University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, Mich.
Before moving to Indiana to work at Eli Lilly as a Technical Writer, Linda taught at the WJ Maxey Boys Training School in Whitmore Lake, Mich., for several years.
In late 2019, Linda suffered a stroke and never fully recovered.
Survivors include her sister, Carol; brother, Robert, his wife, Vickie; and a small cadre of friends.
A Gathering will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Bussell Family Funerals, followed by the Memorial Service at 3 p.m.
