Alaina Shonkwiler has earned the backing of two critical law enforcement groups in Hamilton County – Noblesville Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #198 and Hamilton County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #103.

Shonkwiler

Shonkwiler, a conservative Republican, is running for the open House District 29 seat, which is entirely within Hamilton County and includes the city of Noblesville and a small part of Fishers.

“The Noblesville Fraternal Order of Police stands with Alaina Shonkwiler for State Representative, because Alaina stands with us,” Noblesville FOP Lodge #198 President Sgt. David Barnes said. “Our officers know Alaina and her incredible family, we know Alaina’s heart for public service, and her heart for those in uniform and OUR families. It is crucial for us to have a strong partner for the law enforcement community in the State Legislature, and I know Alaina is the tough-on-crime partner we need. She will always have our backs, and we have hers.”

Shonkwiler stressed the importance of public safety.

“Ensuring strong public safety for thriving communities is not just a duty; it is the cornerstone upon which the very foundation of government rests, and I will always stand with those in law enforcement, and their families,” Shonkwiler said. “In a time where we are seeing nationwide calls to defund the police and policies that coddle criminals instead of holding them accountable and off our streets, supporting those on the frontlines has never been more important. As your next State Representative, I will work to ensure the men and women in law enforcement have the tools and support they need to keep our communities safe, and criminals know Hamilton County is not a place they are welcome. I am humbled by the support of both Fraternal Order of Police organizations in District 29, and I won’t let you down.”

Married to Jason Shonkwiler, a Noblesville Police Department Sergeant and current School Resource Officer at Noblesville High School, Alaina Shonkwiler and her family are deeply embedded in the local community. The couple has two children, Hannah and Kyle, and together, they are dedicated to building a brighter future for all Hoosiers.
